As you have probably all heard we are celebrating the 3rd Year Anniversary of Ragnarok Online 2 and we are hard at work trying to make sure the next year is better than ever.  

 

In the spirit of the things to come we are having a month long EXP Event.  That's right, some of you may have already noticed the massive boost to EXP, but just in case you missed it. 

 

500% EXP Through the Month of May

 

But that's not all!

 

During this time we also want to get your feedback regarding level progression.  We know a lot of you already have given a lot of great suggestions, however now we want to hone those suggestions.  

 

Especially when it comes to over all Level Progression and Experience gained in particular areas.

  

 

So please, feel free to provide feedback.  We want to make this game the best that it can and as enjoyable as possible.  In order to streamline the process you may use this format:

The main change I would do to the current system is... Adding new zones that can allow for SOLO players to lvl up (after Dayr Desert). Many players (myself included) are soloists, we prefer playing the majority of a game by ourselves, and being FORCED into a party to gain levels is detrimental to our cheery demeanor. While the difficulty of the mobs in Dayr Desert (and Tomb of Osiris) is excellent (as they allow for soloing but are hard enough that teaming is better), the mobs in Dark Whisper on up are too risky to even try to solo (without being uber OP w/+20 gears and lvl 4 pets). One death in there while soloing can set you back as much as a full hour (or more) of soloing. I actually spent a fair amount of time in Morroc's Fortress soloing mobs in there to level up, but now that I'm Mlvl 35+ I can't do that anymore and only place for me to solo now is WonderLand (on easy, twice a day, IF it's even open). 

 

Adding New zones for these levels (ML 20+) may seem pointless, but if (for instance) you made the city Geffen (Getten) from RO1 like this, you would have easily 3 zones to play with, and 4 dungeons [straight from ro1](for partying and raiding, and even for the uber powered mobs like in Jawaii [I see Geffenia in our future]). players would then be able to hunt solo, and not have to wait (sometimes for hours) to find a team. side note: This would also allow for Gear variations within a level range (Eddga gears took away your favorite stat? go to Glast Heim and earn some gear that gives it back [would have to be balanced of course], want your gear to have the Blue/Red/Green slots instead of Purple/Purple/Gold? you may have a chance now!).

 

Some people may think that doing this is pointless (the mobs in Morroc Fortress give so little xp compared to Dark Whisper mobs) but this is the price soloists are willing to pay to continue their soloing skills. [the xp difference between Morroc Fortress and DW is good for their difficulties, though MF mobs can be raised in xp a little...]. Don't forget, RO1 has MANY zones for players of similar lvl ranges, why can't RO2 start doing the same?

I just wanted to echo what Artsy357 said...

I would've said the same thing, in essence.

I also agree with freakygin below... ECHO!

(If I think of anything to add, I'll edit this later.)

 

Edit: Here's an Idea for pre-ML leveling for consideration:

It would be nice if solo-mode was an option in all Dungeons,

so that players could complete their quests without needing

a party or without needing a powerful character to help them.

Needing a party was fine when there were more peers online.

However, now people are more likely to grind to 50 than to do

the quests, in part because it's too hard to do the dungeons...

Let it work similar to WL solo mode, but with quests enabled?

My concern is about the jobs, my sorcerer is a chef, I just try this job because its a new job but I noticed that CHEF job is so hard since you would get the basic materials in monster drops but its useless because you cant use the food during in battle...the idea to sit while eating is cute but the cuteness is useless when you cant use the food in battle that's why I make a new character and my job is artisan...I think the set up of jobs is very imbalance. Mostly Artisan and  Blacksmith are the only jobs that can profit from crafting and their craft is very in demand, while alchemist specially CHEF crafts is very pretty useless. the JOB CHEF is really hard but its not worth it because  you cant use it during battle...I hope you could change THE DAYR DELICACIES to be usefull while in combat, what I'm trying to say is please make it the same as a potion that can be use during battle and maybe you could higher the buff of it so the player like myself could use it during battle...

While I agree that crafting is not entirely balanced, I'd like to point out that Master Level Chef Foods CAN be used during battle and are potentially quite useful...

I very much enjoy my Alchemist & Chef. They are not entirely useless; altho every craft could be better balanced with a few considerations & tweaks. Cheers!   :ani_meow:

Not much concern as i'm still anoob and still has long days to spend to check all maps.anyways, my first concern is the login window . I can't seem to log in to game and took some time before it connects. tried clearing all caches.

1.
How would you change the level of progression in the game?

the game itself already gave much exp as far as I'm playing(noob). THe dungeon system is too freaking hard and most khara quest are of dungeon.i guess placing a weapon or armor to be purchase at item mall would be fine. overall leveling is good . advertising the game more would be very helpful. I mean there are less player (low level) playing and not much anyone to party with leaving us low level #ForeverAlone. Giving tokens to players that had reach a number of invite or giving token to a player who'd help a lot of other players(a khara title would be nice) but the title would expire. so others may had the chance to help too. also try to check some dungeon bugs as sometimes I get stuck between two stones.

2.I haven't check much of the zpnes yet but as far as I'm playing until now, everything's fine I guess

3.I would take away some of the level limit to dungeon :)

I would prefer to be anonymous.

 

Ro2 needs improvements with their activities. Without happy hour boxes, x7/x5/x4/x3/x2 experience points,  and quests RO2 is boring compared to RO1 in some fields. I hope that the GM or the management of warp portal will soon fix the idle phases of the game like adding systems or fun system activities like RO1's Marriage System, more PVP Zones in Maps, More maps, Pet System (where you could feed your pet, name it, dress it and raise it), Ragnarok game is popular for being the best Multimedia MORPG but what happened to all the big Cut out Emoticons way back from RO1 like /gg /lol /sob ? RO2 is a vert good game but lacks Activities it would be more FUN playing it if it has Systems or fun things to do. I hope RO2 would come up with more activities, Still, loving the game and still a Fan.

I agree with everything that freakygn said, but I like to mention some points.

- Puts elements on monster. Until Osiris Tombs, almost all mobs have elements and after DWL its change. I love elements system, it makes me remember the classical RPG, like FF.
- Its hard to grind at DWU, cause Skulls have high damage, high defense and no-element. That's why some people stop to grind at ML2x

I particulary think that RO2 is not a good game until Lv50. Its a quest-based game and its make a boring game. I usually say that until Lv50 RO2 is a "patience test". I think we need a high change in this point. I dont know exacly what can be done, maybe increase quest reward or monster experience. I think that drop rate should be increased, cause you become Lv50 just with quest gears. Mobs should drops gears more easily.

- Dungeon Monster should give much more EXP. Until Lv50, there's no reason to raid a dungeon. And I know that is amazing raid a dungeon and kill some bosses.
